Our Story
First Presbyterian Church of Rockaway, New Jersey, has been around a while - founded in 1758 to be exact. We have a deep appreciation for our past, but a greater hope for our future.
At First Presbyterian Church you will find people who come from varied traditions: Protestant and Catholic, liberal and conservative, young and old, new members and longtime members. Our differences are not what define us, it is our oneness in Christ that gives us our identity. We gather together with a common desire, to encounter God in worship, study, service, and our daily lives. United in Christ, we foster a community in which we bring our different viewpoints together in dialogue.
Family Worship
Join us in a new endeavor, as we host a monthly family-style worship service in our Fellowship Hall. The time will begin with a kid-friendly meal such as chicken nuggets, and macaroni & cheese with juice. This will be followed by an interactive worship service, which will involve singing, story time, and dancing for children younger and older, and their parents or other family members.
